Basketball Recap: San Elizario Sets Scoring Season-High Against Fabens

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask San Elizario). They walked away with a 52-43 victory over the Fabens Wildcats on Friday. The win was familiar territory for the Eagles who have now won three contests in a row.

Despite the loss, Fabens still got an impressive performance from Christine Lechuga, who posted 18 points. The dominant performance gave Lechuga a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Angel Quinonez, who had ten points.

San Elizario's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-12. As for Fabens, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-9 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Clint the next time they take the court. Fabens will head out to face Clint at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while San Elizario will host them at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th.
