Patrick Henry Academy entered their tilt with Andrew Jackson Academy on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Warriors. That's more bragging rights for the Patriots, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Patrick Henry Academy was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-19, 24-26, 25-17, 15-8.

Andrew Jackson Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was McKinnley Beard, who had 22 kills, five digs, two aces, and one block. Beard is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last 31 games she's played dating back to last season. Bella Carrigg was another key player, getting 26 assists and four aces.

Patrick Henry Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Andrew Jackson Academy, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 9-2.

Coming up, Patrick Henry Academy will face off against Orangeburg Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Andrew Jackson Academy, they will challenge Curtis Baptist at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
