Basketball Game Preview: Hebron Hawks vs. Flower Mound Jaguars

The Hebron Hawks will face off against the Flower Mound Jaguars at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.

On Tuesday, Hebron ended up a good deal behind Braswell and lost 53-37. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 209th, while the Bengals are ranked second).

Meanwhile, Flower Mound came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past the Cowboys with points to spare, taking the game 53-35. 53 seems to be a good number for the Jaguars as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Flower Mound pushed their record up to 24-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Hebron, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-13.

Everything went Hebron's way against Flower Mound when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as Hebron made off with a 68-44 victory. Does Hebron have another victory up their sleeve, or will Flower Mound turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
