Central took a 19-run defeat the last time they faced off against Flinthills, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Raiders won by a run and slipped past the Mustangs 9-8. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Raiders as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Jaydan Mannon was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. Those runs were his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Smith, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Central's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Flinthills, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.

Coming up, Central will face off against Cedar Vale on Thursday. As for Flinthills, they will square off against Oxford at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 15 runs per game this season.
