Softball Recap: North Side Steers vs. Trimble Tech Bulldogs
North Side won the last time they faced Trimble Tech and things went their way on Tuesday too. North Side put the hurt on Trimble Tech with a sharp 19-4 victory. The Steers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by ten runs or more this season.
Natalia Olvera was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. Those ten strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, firing off four doubles, three RBI, and two runs while going 4-for-4.

In other batting news, Maggie Casteneda and Mia James did most of the damage at the plate: Casteneda fired off two home runs, seven RBI, and three runs while going 4-for-5, while James scored five runs and stole two bases while going 5-for-5. The dominant performance also gave James a new career-high in doubles (three). Yesenia Olvera was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
North Side always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .700. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
