Baseball Game Preview: Diamond Bar Brahmas vs. California Condors

The Diamond Bar Brahmas will head out on the road to square off against the California Condors at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Diamond Bar's hitters haven't had much luck over their past five matches, but Wednesday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Diamond Bar fell victim to Claremont and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 6-0 to the Wolfpack.

Diamond Bar got a good showing from Jayden Henness, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest earned runs Henness has allowed since back in March.

On the hitting side, Diamond Bar saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dominic Tortorelli, who went 1-for-3 with one double. That double marked the first that Tortorelli has hit this season.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Monday California sidestepped Warren for a 3-1 victory.

Diamond Bar's defeat dropped their record down to 5-22. As for California, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season.

Diamond Bar couldn't quite finish off California in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 and fell 6-4. Can the Brahmas avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
