Football Recap: Zion Chapel Piles Up the Points Against Ellwood Christian + How To Watch

Zion Chapel got themselves on the board against Ellwood Christian on Friday, but Ellwood Christian never followed suit. They blew past the Eagles 44-0. The Rebels have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Zion Chapel's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from John Foster Hamm, who rushed for 91 yards and one score on only five carries, and also threw for 19 yards and one touchdown. Joeb Bradley was in the mix as well, providing the Rebels with two TDs.

Zion Chapel's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Bobby Rhodes refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. He was another major factor on D, picking up 1.5 sacks and making seven total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Zion Chapel has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their offensive performance: the team's won by an average of 36 points thus far. As for Ellwood Christian, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Zion Chapel and Ellwood Christian will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Rebels will face off against rival Goshen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Ellwood Christian is set to square off against their familiar foe Maplesville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
