Basketball Recap: Berean Christian Takes a Loss

Berean Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a hard 61-46 fall against Providence Academy. Berean Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Providence Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Despite the loss, Berean Christian still got an impressive performance from Connor Copeland, who posted 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Copeland is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games he's played. Josh Myers was another key player, putting up seven points and seven rebounds.

Berean Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Providence Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berean Christian will square off against Apostolic Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Providence Academy, they will challenge Grace Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Providence Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight contests.
