Softball Recap: Hanover Takes a Loss

Hanover couldn't beat York Catholic on Thursday even though they stacked seven runs on them in the second inning. The Nighthawks lost 22-7 to the Fighting Irish. The loss continues a trend for the Nighthawks in their meetings with the Fighting Irish: they've now lost five in a row.

Hanover saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Leah Wildason, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI. Yazmin Rangel-Rivera also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Hanover's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for York Catholic, they moved to 2-13 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Coming up, Hanover will venture away from home to face off against Lebanon at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for York Catholic, they will host York Suburban at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
