Basketball Recap: Sevastopol Comes Up Short

Sevastopol was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a blow against the Algoma Wolves, falling 73-44. While losing is never fun, the Pioneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 371st, while the Wolves are ranked 138th).

Sevastopol's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Algoma, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sevastopol will take on Kewaunee at 7:00 p.m. on February 18th. As for Algoma, they will venture away from home to face off against Southern Door at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Southern Door's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
