Basketball Recap: Will Findlan's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Franklin over Fort Leboeuf

Franklin's game on Friday was all tied up 40-40 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 77-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fort LeBoeuf Bison. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bison apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2021.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Will Findlan, who posted 22 points. The game was Findlan's third in a row with at least ten points. Alex Umbenhaur was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fort LeBoeuf to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mason Friedman, who made all 8 shots he took to post 16 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Troy Goellner, who had nine points and four steals.

Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Fort LeBoeuf, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Franklin will welcome Karns City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Karns City has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Fort LeBoeuf, they will head out to take on Clarion-Limestone at 7:00 p.m. on December 30th.
