Softball Recap: Howard Tech Comes Up Short

Howard Tech came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the East Hamilton Hurricanes, falling 15-3. The defeat continues a trend for the Hstln Tigers in their meetings with the Hurricanes: they've now lost eight in a row.

Howard Tech's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for East Hamilton, they pushed their record up to 16-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Howard Tech will venture away from home to square off against Tyner Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for East Hamilton, they will head out to challenge Walker Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Hurricanes' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season.
