Brimfield has gone 8-2 against Elmwood recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Brimfield Indians will head out to square off against the Elmwood Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Brimfield will be strutting in after a victory while Elmwood will be coming in after a defeat.

On Saturday, Brimfield needed a bit of extra time to put away Biggsville West Central. They secured a 57-53 W over the Heat.

Meanwhile, Elmwood unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They were beaten by Deer Creek-Mackinaw 52-24. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 285th, while the Chiefs are ranked 68th).

Elmwood's loss dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Brimfield, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.

Brimfield beat Elmwood 66-59 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brimfield since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
