The Curry Yellowjackets will take on the Dothan Wolves at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Curry is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.1 runs per game this season.

Curry's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against Oak Mountain as they made off with an 8-0 win. Considering the Yellowjackets have won 25 games by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Ambrey Taylor was incredible, firing off two home runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Teel, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI.

Curry was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in 12 consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Dothan lost 7-1 to Oak Mountain on Friday. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dothan also got a good showing from Brantlee McCarthy, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. McCarthy has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Dothan saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jada Newman, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Dothan's loss dropped their record down to 17-17-1. As for Curry, their victory bumped their record up to 40-2.

Saturday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Curry hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .431. However, it's not like Dothan struggles in that department as they've averaged .317. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
