Basketball Game Preview: Oak Ridge War Eagles vs. Conroe Tigers

Oak Ridge is 1-9 against Conroe since January of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the Oak Ridge War Eagles will get right back to it and host the Conroe Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Oak Ridge didn't have too much trouble with New Caney as they won 51-35. Given the War Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 483rd, while the Eagles are ranked 1016th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Conroe, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 55-39 win over New Caney on Saturday.

Conroe has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 11-15 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points per game. As for Oak Ridge, they pushed their record up to 13-13 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.
