Basketball Recap: South Lakes Takes a Loss

South Lakes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 65-33 loss at the hands of the Centreville Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Seahawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 197th, while the Wildcats are ranked 12th).

South Lakes' loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Centreville, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 18-2.

South Lakes has already played their next matchup, a 50-38 defeat against James Madison on the 6th. As for Centreville, they will take on Chantilly at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Centreville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven games.
