Basketball Recap: Hmong American Peace Academy vs. St. Anthony Roman Legion
Hmong American Peace Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a blow against the St. Anthony Roman Legion, falling 67-30. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against St. Anthony this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-35 back in January.
Anthony Ruvalcaba was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and 12 rebounds for St. Anthony. Ruvalcaba is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last nine games he's played. Another player making a difference was Nelson Escudero, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds.
Hmong American Peace Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for St. Anthony, their win bumped their record up to 8-12.
