Baseball Recap: Crescenta Valley Takes a Loss

Crescenta Valley fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against La Salle on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the La Salle Lancers by a score of 5-4. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lancers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2020.

Crescenta Valley got a good showing from Colin Moore, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, Dashiell Schultz made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

This is the second loss in a row for Crescenta Valley and nudges their season record down to 1-2. As for La Salle, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Crescenta Valley will host Citrus Valley at 6:00 p.m. on March 1st. As for La Salle, they will head out to challenge St. Paul at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
