Basketball Recap: Pleasant Ridge Comes Up Short at Home Against Kansas City Christian School

Pleasant Ridge unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Kansas City Christian School Panthers on Tuesday, falling 57-33. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 80-44 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2016.

Despite the loss, Pleasant Ridge still got an impressive performance from Dawson Hockett, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 15 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Hudson Hockett, who posted six points and eight boards.

Coming up, Pleasant Ridge will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Oskaloosa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Rams their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Kansas City Christian School, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Maranatha Christian Academy on Friday.
