Recap: Charleston Math & Science Riptide vs. Hanahan Hawks
While it was all tied up 24-24 at halftime, the Charleston Math & Science Riptide were not quite the Hanahan Hawks's equal in the second half on Tuesday. Charleston Math & Science took a 56-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hanahan. Charleston Math & Science has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Charleston Math & Science still got an impressive performance from Marcus Grant, who scored 23 points. Another player making a difference was Zion King, who scored 10 points.
Jonah Auckenthaler was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds for Hanahan. Jordan Eslava was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Charleston Math & Science's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Hanahan, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Academic Magnet the next time they take the court. Charleston Math & Science will head out to face Academic Magnet at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Hanahan will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
