Softball Game Preview: Leonard Tigers vs. S & S Consolidated Rams

For the first time this season, Leonard will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Tuesday. They will welcome the S & S Consolidated Rams at 6:30 p.m. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Leonard has struggled recently with seven losses in a row, while S & S Consolidated will arrive with six straight victories.

It was a proper cat-fight when Leonard took on Princeton on Friday. Leonard fell 10-7 to Princeton.

Madison Prather made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Ashlynn Cavender also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Meanwhile, S & S Consolidated owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They blew past Bonham 9-0. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by nine runs or more this season.

S & S Consolidated's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Leonard, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Leonard might still be hurting after the 15-0 loss they got from S & S Consolidated in their previous matchup back in February of 2020. Can Leonard avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
