Basketball Game Preview: Archbishop Hoban Knights vs. Highland Hornets

The Archbishop Hoban Knights will take on the Highland Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Archbishop Hoban sitting on nine straight wins and Highland on 25.

Archbishop Hoban is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They came out on top against Padua Franciscan by a score of 53-46. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Bruins are ranked 141st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Highland had just enough and edged out Copley 49-47 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hornets have posted against the Indians since December 8, 2021.

Highland's win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 25-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points over those games. As for Archbishop Hoban, their victory bumped their record up to 22-2.

Archbishop Hoban didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Highland in their previous matchup back in February of 2020, but they still walked away with a 32-28 win.
