Baseball Recap: Marathon Red Raiders vs. Auburndale Apaches
It was a good run, but Marathon unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Auburndale Apaches by a score of 1-0. The shutout was out of character for Marathon seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in April.
Marathon's loss dropped their record down to 20-4. As for Auburndale, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.
As of now, neither Marathon nor Auburndale have any future games scheduled.
