Baseball Recap: West Takes a Loss

Joseph 'JJ' Martinez was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kingston Rillon, who went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double.

West's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Hillcrest, they pushed their record up to 7-7 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

While West had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
