Softball Game Preview: Wootton Patriots vs. Einstein Titans

The Wootton Patriots will venture away from home to square off against the Einstein Titans at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Wootton has given up an average of 7.5 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Wootton lost 13-4 to Magruder on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Einstein fell victim to Richard Montgomery and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Rockets, falling 17-0. The loss continues a trend for the Titans in their meetings with the Rockets: they've now lost eight in a row.

Wootton's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Einstein, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.

Everything went Wootton's way against Einstein when the teams last played back in May of 2017, as Wootton made off with a 14-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
