Valor Christian has proven itself time and again with six state titles in the past seven years
It should come as no surprise that Valor Christian is the most dominant Colorado football team in the past 10 years. The Eagles have won six state titles in seven seasons.

may be relatively new to the state's prep football scene, but the Eagles' run over the past decade is unmatched.
Valor has claimed six state championships in seven seasons, going undefeated twice, and finished in the top five of the state's final rankings seven years in a row. It's why the Eagles have easily proven to be Colorado's top team since 2006.
A points system was created to determine how the state's best programs have done over the last 10 years. Valor Christian emerged on top by a 67-point margin over
Mullen (Denver) despite not cracking the rankings until 2009.
Here is how the points break down:
1. 20 for a state title
2. 10 for state championship game appearance
3. Other points are based on where a team finished in the final MaxPreps Colorado Football Computer Rankings presented by the Army National Guard. For example, if a team finished No. 1 overall, it would receive 25 points. If it finished 25th overall, the team would get one point. No points are awarded if the team did not finish in the Top 25.
