            Softball Recap: Powell County Pirates vs. Estill County Engineers        
        
		
        
        
            Powell County dropped their record down to 14-14 on Monday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins at home. They came up short against  the Estill County Engineers, falling  12-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  defeat the Pirates have suffered  since April 24th.
 Powell County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Emma Rison, who  went 2-for-3 with one  double.
As for Estill County, the  win was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-9. The result was nothing new for the Engineers, who have now won 13 matches by seven  runs or more  so far this season.
On Estill County's side,  Bella Rice was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. She  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Rice was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-2 with one  triple and one  RBI. That  triple marked the first that  she has  hit this season.
 In other batting news,  Brooklyn Ferrell was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI. Those  three  runs gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Callee Snowden, who  went 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.
As of now, neither Powell County nor Estill County have any future games scheduled.
