Baseball Recap: Mission Viejo Gets the Win

Mission Viejo posted their closest win since March 19th on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the El Toro Chargers 9-8. This was a revenge game for the Diablos: when they faced off against the Chargers last Tuesday, they had to take a 7-5 loss.

Carson Browning was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Ursulo, who scored three runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Mission Viejo was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The victory got Mission Viejo back to even at 10-10. As for El Toro, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.

Mission Viejo will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Chargers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
