Los Altos is 7-1 against Saratoga since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m.

Last Thursday, Los Altos came up short against Homestead and fell 8-3.

Los Altos saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Makayla Mase, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Eliza Sewell also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Saratoga entered their tilt with Lynbrook last Wednesday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They blew past the Vikings 18-2. That 16 run margin sets a new team best for the Falcons this season.

Sydney Riera was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Tham, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4.

Saratoga always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .622. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Saratoga pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Los Altos, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.

Los Altos came out on top in a nail-biter against Saratoga when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
