Softball Recap: James Island Comes Up Short

James Island came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Covenant Day Lions, falling 9-3.

James Island saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rachel Manchester, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Kendall Wharton also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

James Island now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Covenant Day, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1-1.

Coincidentally, James Island and Covenant Day will both be playing Lucy Beckham the next time they take the field. Covenant Day will head out to face Lucy Beckham at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while James Island will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
