Soccer Game Preview: Walker vs. Denham Springs

Walker is 0-10 against Denham Springs since January of 2016 but things could change on Monday. The Wildcats will look to defend their home pitch against the Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Walker and Live Oak, and Live Oak kept the tradition alive. The Wildcats fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Denham Springs faced East Ascension in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Yellowjackets blew past the Spartans 5-2. The result was nothing new for Denham Springs, who have now won 13 matches by three goals or more so far this season.

The victory (which was Denham Springs' sixth in a row) raised their record to 18-2-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 28 goals over those six contests. As for Walker, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6-5.
