Preview: Gilbert Yellowjackets vs. Wamogo Warriors
Gilbert is 9-1 against Wamogo since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Gilbert Yellowjackets will look to defend their home court against the Wamogo Warriors at 6:30 p.m. Gilbert will be strutting in after a victory while Wamogo will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Thursday, Gilbert earned a 53-43 victory over Academy of Science and Innovation. The win made it back-to-back wins for Gilbert.
Wamogo suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 56-25 loss at the hands of Nonnewaug. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Wamogo has suffered against Nonnewaug since March 1, 2021.
Gilbert's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.2 points per game. As for Wamogo, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
Gilbert strolled past Wamogo when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a score of 52-36. Does Gilbert have another victory up their sleeve, or will Wamogo turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
