Basketball Preview: Beekmantown Eagles vs. Northern Adirondack Bobcats

The Beekmantown Eagles will play host again and welcome the Northern Adirondack Bobcats, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Beekmantown focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Friday.

Last Friday, Beekmantown earned a 48-39 win over the Hornets.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Beekmantown to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lindsay Barnes, who scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Barnes has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Parliament, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 16 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Northern Adirondack's 16-5 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They were the victim of a tough 58-36 defeat at the hands of Northeastern Clinton on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Northern Adirondack can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 318th, while the Cougars are ranked 11th).

Beekmantown's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-8. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Northern Adirondack, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Beekmantown might still be hurting after the 59-39 loss they got from the Bobcats when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Will Beekmantown have more luck at home instead of on the road?
