Baseball Game Preview: Ramona Bulldogs vs. San Dieguito Academy Mustangs

For the second straight game, Ramona will face off against San Dieguito Academy. The Bulldogs will welcome the Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Ramona will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Ramona barely beat San Dieguito Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bulldogs never let the Mustangs get on the board and left with an 11-0 win on Monday. Considering the Bulldogs have won eight contests by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The result came thanks to Jakob Coxen's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Zack Nightingale, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Tyler Haymes was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Ramona always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .524. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as San Dieguito Academy only posted an OBP of .091.
