Baseball Recap: Muncy Triumphs

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Muncy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Warrior Run Defenders 2-1. This was payback for the Indians, who suffered a 15-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Jameson Barlow, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.

Muncy's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Warrior Run, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-5.

Looking ahead, Muncy will face off against Neumann Regional Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.19 runs per game on average), something the Indians will no doubt try to take advantage of. Warrior Run does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
