Baseball Recap: Franklin County Comes Up Short

Franklin County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Frederick Douglass Broncos. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Broncos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in April.

Franklin County's loss dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Frederick Douglass, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-11.

Coming up, Franklin County will challenge Great Crossing at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. Frederick Douglass has already played their next match (against Mercer County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
