Hopewell came into Thursday's contest having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Petersburg Crimson Wave on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Hopewell's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Petersburg, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.
