Basketball Game Preview: Bedford Bisons vs. Central Cambria Red Devils

Bedford and Central Cambria are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2017, but not for long. Having just played yesterday, the Bedford Bisons will get right back to it and host the Central Cambria Red Devils at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Both are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Bedford is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Somerset to the tune of 73-39 on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bisons as it spelled an end to their ten-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Central Cambria took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 74-47 win over Somerset. The Red Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 21 points or more this season.

Bedford better keep an eye on Grady Snyder. He was instrumental in Central Cambria's win, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 16 rebounds. The matchup was Snyder's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Swope, who went 7 of 17 on his way to 17 points and six assists.

Central Cambria was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Central Cambria has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.8 points per game. As for Bedford, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-12.
