North White is 2-8 against Rensselaer Central since May of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Vikings will venture away from home to face off against the Bombers at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
North White barely beat DeMotte Christian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Vikings were the clear victors by a 16-9 margin over the Knights on Monday. That's two games straight that the Vikings have won by exactly seven runs.
Kaylyn Applegate made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, four runs, and one double. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Adriann Conn, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three stolen bases, and six RBI. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Abigail Tribbett also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
North White lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more home runs.
Meanwhile, Rensselaer Central won against Glenn on Saturday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Bombers beat Kouts by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 11-1. The victory was nothing new for the Bombers as they're now sitting on three straight.
Kali Northcutt was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). Northcutt was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Kami Davis was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Liberty Bate, who got on base in both of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
North White is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Rensselaer Central, their record now sits at 14-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. North White has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Rensselaer Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went North White's way against Rensselaer Central in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as North White made off with a 9-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
