Baseball Recap: Isaiah Galvan Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat King

West Oso proved they can win big last Friday (they won by ten) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They never let the King Brahmas get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. While the Bears didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

West Oso's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Isaiah Galvan, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. That stolen base was Galvan's first of the season.

West Oso hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most three strikeouts in three consecutive matchups.

West Oso's record is now 5-2. As for King, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Coincidentally, West Oso and King will both be playing Raymondville the next time they take the field. West Oso will host Raymondville at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, while King will play them later in the day, at 1:30 p.m.
