Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask La Monte). Everything went their way against the Chilhowee Indians on Friday as the La Monte Vikings made off with a 51-30 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Vikings as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

La Monte's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-5. As for Chilhowee, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. La Monte will host Plaza Heights Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Plaza Heights Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.9 points per game this season. As for Chilhowee, they will face off against Northeast Vernon County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
