The Newington Nor'easters pushed their score all the way to 66 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 67-66 to Torrington. That's two games in a row now that Newington has lost by exactly a single point.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Torrington to victory, but perhaps none more so than Luca White, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten assists. William Parkhouse was another key contributor, scoring 21 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Newington and nudges their season record down to 4-8. As for Torrington, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.

Newington will look to defend their home court on Monday against RHAM at 6:45 p.m. As for Torrington, they will head out on the road to take on Wilby at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
