Vasquez has gone a perfect 10-0 against Desert Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Mustangs will challenge the Knights at 3:15 p.m. Vasquez is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.

West Ranch hit Vasquez with a four-run fourth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Mustangs fell 10-6 to the Wildcats.

Sadie Mendoza was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Faith Nasrallah was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Desert Christian's offense. They came up short against Faith Baptist on Thursday, falling 12-0. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Knights' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Vasquez has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-12 record this season. As for Desert Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-12-1.

Everything went Vasquez's way against Desert Christian in their previous matchup back in April, as Vasquez made off with an 18-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
