Basketball Recap: Greater Atlanta Christian Piles Up the Points Against Lumpkin County

Greater Atlanta Christian waltzed into their match on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 72-42 win over the Lumpkin County Indians. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 57-44 win back in January.

Greater Atlanta Christian had a senior duo take command as Mikey Carpenter went 6-for-11 to rack up 16 points and Mario Hill Jr went 7-for-12 on his way to 17 points. Carpenter's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Baer Bailey, who posted eight points and ten rebounds.

Greater Atlanta Christian's victory bumped their record up to 21-6. As for Lumpkin County, their loss dropped their record down to 18-9.

Coming up, Greater Atlanta Christian and Pickens will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. Pickens knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 23 games -- so hopefully Greater Atlanta Christian likes a good challenge. Lumpkin County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
