Kerman and Shafter squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Kerman had to settle for second. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Generals. The Lions' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Kerman started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-20, 25-21, 25-17.

Emily Pugh was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had nine digs.

Kerman's defeat dropped their record down to 27-9. As for Shafter, the win was the 29th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 33-1.

Kerman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Shafter, they will head out on the road to square off against Immanuel at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
