Basketball Recap: Simpson Takes a Loss

Simpson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 58-42 bruising from the Ebarb Rebels. The Broncos were probably out for revenge after losing 58-43 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Simpson's loss dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Ebarb, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-26.

Simpson and Ebarb could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings. Simpson will take on Pleasant Hill at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th down 267 places (346 vs. 79). Meanwhile, Ebarb (ranked 275th) will meet Plainview (ranked 76th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
