 After a string of five wins, Amundsen's good fortune finally ran out  on Saturday. They wound up on the wrong side of a  tough 8-2 walloping at the hands of the Evergreen Park Mustangs. Amundsen was red-hot at the plate headed into the  matchup (they scored no less than ten  runs in the five  matches prior) but Evergreen Park's pitchers proved too tough.
 Amundsen saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Antonio Yanez, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-4.
 On Evergreen Park's side,  Yarim Garcia made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching  an inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Garcia was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.
 In other pitching news, Evergreen Park got a great performance from  Michael Rodriguez as he  struck out seven batters over  six innings while giving up just two earned runs off   six  hits (and only one walk).
 Back at the plate,  Billy Duffner was  excellent,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-4.
 Amundsen's loss  ended  a  five-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 13-8. As for Evergreen Park, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record  this season.
 The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: they beat Amundsen by a score of  2-0 later that day.
