Basketball Recap: Jasmine Jones' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Tennessee over Morristown-Hamblen West

Tennessee lost against Morristown-Hamblen West back in November of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Vikings fell 51-43 to the Trojans.

Several Vikings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jasmine Jones, who shot 64% from the field en route to 14 points and eight boards. Jones is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Addie Wilhoit, who posted 15 points.

Tennessee's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Morristown-Hamblen West, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Tennessee will challenge Cloudland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Morristown-Hamblen West, they will be taking part in a tournament against Sullivan East at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
