Baseball Game Preview: Atlantis vs. Rising Tide

Atlantis will face off against Rising Tide at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Atlantis is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.

On Saturday, Atlantis got the win against Southeastern RVT by a conclusive 9-3. The result was nothing new for Atlantis, who have now won seven matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Brady Cambra spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Atlantis is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 5-7 otherwise.

At the plate, Atlantis got a massive performance out of Collyn Viverios, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Viverios has become a key player for Atlantis: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-7 otherwise. Another player making a difference was David DeSouza Jr., who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Rising Tide was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 26th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 11-1 to Nantucket.

Rising Tide's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Atlantis, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-8.

Atlantis took their win against Rising Tide in their previous matchup back in April by a conclusive 16-1 score. Does Atlantis have another victory up their sleeve, or will Rising Tide turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
