Volleyball Recap: Lakeside Takes a Loss

If Lakeside was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Harvey on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Dragons came up short against the Jefferson Area Falcons on Thursday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Dragons in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost eight in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-4, 25-19.

Emmyana Lewis paced Lakeside's offense, picking up two kills. Lewis got some help from Zoni Turner and her three assists.

Lakeside's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Jefferson Area, they pushed their record up to 13-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Lakeside has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Varsity Opponent on the 6th. As for Jefferson Area, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against South on the 4th.
